New Crafting With Dragonflies Challenge - Sentiment as Main Focus


For our new challenge on the Crafting With Dragonflies Challenge Blog we want to see a card with the 'sentiment as main focus'.  You can find all the details here on the challenge blog.

I've used a sentiment from Visible Image and combined it with some Trimcraft papers.  The floral paper has a shimmer to it which you can just see on a couple of the flowers.

New Winter Wonderland Challenge - Real or Faux Stitching and/or Use Two Papers

New Ruby's Rainbow Challenge - Hip to Be Square


It was my turn to choose the theme for today's new challenge on the Ruby's Rainbow Challenge Blog and I've chosen 'hip to be square'.  The base of your card should be square but after that you can whatever shapes you want to.  All the details about the challenge can be found here on the blog.

My card is one I designed for the little craft club I help to run - I'd been asked for a sympathy card and this is what I came up with.

I used a Memory Box die called 'Perky Poppies' and die cut this in black and red paper.  I then inlaid the red pieces in to the black outline and matted them on to white card with layers of red and black paper.  The sentiment is a stamp from Visible Image.

The inspiration behind my card was the film 'Singing In The Rain'.  I've used a die cut from the Tim Holtz 'Umbrella Man' die and a stamped sentiment from Visible Image.

I finished the card with some Card Candi coloured black to match the rest of the card.

Imagine That Challenge Reminder - Tic Tac Toe


Today I'm sharing the card I made as part of the challenge reminder post on the Imagine That Creative Playground Blog.  We've got a tic tac toe board for you to work with this month:

For my card I've used one of the newest Imagine That digi stamp sets called 'Pregnant Peggy'.  You can find the set here on the website and this is what you get in the set:


As well as the digi stamp and sentiments, you also get three digi papers in the set and I've one of them (the patchwork set) on my card.

On the tic tac toe board I've used the vertical line on the left hand side of the board - gems, buttons, die cut.

Crafty Sentiments Designs Inspiration Post


It was my turn today to share a card on the Crafty Sentiments Designs Inspiration Blog and this is the card I've posted.

I've used the very cute 'Josh - Apple Tree' stamp which you can find here on the website and coloured the stamped image with Promarkers.  I've used four different circle dies to cut out the various layers for the card and added some red gems to finish it.

I've used a computer generated sentiment for my card - I die cut it using a Memory Box stitched circle die, layered it on to a silver die cut circle and then a doily.  The backing card is the one I always use for wedding cards - it came from a local craft shop and doesn't have a company name on it.  I've finished the card with some little silver pearls.
